FREQUENTLY
ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs)
1.
Does the New Jersey Chapter only serve to the human
resources needs of State government?
No,
we represent and serve all levels of government, including
county, municipal, educational, as well as state agencies.
We find that public human resources topics are not
specific to a particular form of government. Therefore, we seek program-meeting topics that are pertinent
to all government entities and public human resources
professionals. The
Association is not limited to your personnel person.
Public
managers and elected officials who are responsible for human
resource decisions are eligible for membership and are invited
to join and/or attend the Association’s program workshops.
2.
Does the Chapter meet or hold events outside the city
of Trenton?
The
Association typically holds meetings in Trenton because it is
centrally located and easily accessible from all parts of New
Jersey. However,
the Executive Board does consider holding events in different
locations that are suitable to the purpose at hand.
The Executive Board encourages members to recommend
meeting locations for consideration.
